More-lando!

Back in… you guessed it! Orlando! Media Stage continues to expand its footprint in Central Florida with a couple more recent shows in Lake Buena Vista and Championsgate. In Lake Buena Vista, we assisted our EPN partner Advanced Staging Productions with the breakouts portion of a large medical conference, and in Championsgate we produced a full-scale AV package for a multi-day general session.

The highlight of that set was a 13’ x 170’ wall-to-wall LED video display that we built during two full load-in days. We also scheduled a full tech check and rehearsal day before the show kicked off. Our crew worked with the in-house riggers to fly all our lighting and audio that we designed to cover the entire space as house seating fit thousands of attendees in the ballroom.

Once the show was underway, we were live in the mornings and our afternoons were booked with rehearsals for the following day. Using Shoflo, we were able to seamlessly revise the run of show in real time and we displayed this backstage using a TV monitor for both crew and presenters to stay updated.

The Omni Championsgate was a wonderful host venue; this is our second time in the last year working at this property!

In Lake Buena Vista, we helped manage and supply gear for 24 different areas of the larger meeting. The function of these varied; we had breakouts, workshops, a trade show space, an outdoor pavilion for an after-party, office rooms, and two larger breakouts that acted as “mini-GS’s.”

In close collaboration with our partners from Advanced Staging Productions, we set, operated and struck all these rooms throughout the week – many which saw flips, orientation changes, gear moves, etc. There was a lot of planning done ahead of time to make sure all areas were covered, and we had to be flexible on site as changes came up.
