Sand in my Shoes 2026
That’s a wrap from Jungle Island! We once again partnered up with our friends at Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce for their annual Sand in My Shoes gala. Our crew was on site for two days between a full set day and rehearsals, show, and strike the following day. The set is dressed with a clean, white drape line and two 9’ x 16’ rear projection screens with ultra short throw lenses at each end of the room.
Lighting primarily gets flown, with our stage wash fixtures focused accordingly working in tandem with backlight on crank-up towers upstage. We have two manned cameras positioned at the back of the room to capture IMAG shots and full program records delivered immediately after the show.
Audio was ground supported for a run of show that most often called for our lectern mic to be used, and we also provided a lav for this year’s Sand in my Shoes award recipient Cesar Alvarez. Two new elements we brought in this year were additional 86” display monitors toward the back of the room and an LED totem wall in the foyer outside the ballroom using four of our CLT posters.
The video wall was a useful new installment as we were able to showcase sponsor logos on a graphics loop for people to see as they arrive and congregate before doors open. The rest of the show was compiled of video rolls and graphics content with IMAG.
Thank you so much to GMCC; it’s always a pleasure working with you!
