A "mountainous" production
That’s a wrap from Colorado! Media Stage recently spent a week at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Denver supporting AV for a medical conference that showcased a main plenary and several “Parallel” meeting spaces.
In the plenary, our team provided full audio, video, lighting, and scenic builds. A custom mountain-inspired scenic installation served as the main stage focal point, constructed from wood flats, hedge wall panels, and Astera Titan Tube lights. We also built versions of these for some of the smaller rooms, adjusted to scale.
Video display included two 9' x 16' front-projection screens with long-throw lenses, DSMs for presenters, and our digital lectern. As dual-language translation was needed in the plenary, our crew executed closed captioning support during these sessions.
Lighting consisted of a stage wash and uplighting integrated into the scenic design. Audio enlisted a multi-channel wireless microphone package with Countryman headset microphones to satisfy a variety of presentation formats and speaker preferences. Outside the plenary and “Parallels,” we also equipped the client’s registration area and built a dedicated podcast studio!
With each area operating on different load-in, show, and load-out schedules, the week required our crew to stay flexible and move efficiently between spaces. Equipment, personnel, and priorities shifted throughout the event while each room remained fully show-ready.
