Three shows in three states

If you follow us on social media, you’ll know that our crew has been west of the Mississippi for the past two weeks. So far, the month of February has been powered by coffee and plane naps as we’ve been on the road to produce back-to-back-to-back shows in Tucson, Dallas and Las Vegas!

First up was a week-long medical conference at the JW Marriott Starr Pass in Tucson, Arizona. The show was attended by 350 people for business meetings during the day and an awards gala on one of the nights. The set was showcased by a center LED screen to show background graphics with rear projection side screens displaying presentations.

We live-streamed much of this event with two-way interaction; we used robotic cameras to capture the program feed to send out to the remote audience and we also streamed in live presenters for a panel discussion.

Next up was Dallas! We had two full load-in days and a full rehearsal day before the show got underway with an opening reception at the Omni Downtown. There were also 19 additional rooms (primarily breakouts with a few designated office/practice rooms) that we provided AV for. These saw many different set and strike schedules, including some late-night room shifts.

The GS set was extensive as we had ultra-wide screens dressed with scenic panels to reveal a center LED wall complete with LED columns that led to an eye-catching stage entrance. The screens were front projection, so we flew our double-stacked 22K laser projectors along with movers for lighting and all of our speaker stacks.

Similarly, the main sessions during the day were slotted for the company’s business updates with a awards gala on the closing night. Between the full schedule, we were busy for 8 full days on this one!

While that crew was in Dallas, we also had some of our team in Las Vegas at The Cosmopolitan. This show consisted of seven breakout rooms and a large-scale expo hall. We again had two complete set days for this show, the second of which went from 1pm-2am. We provided audio, video and lighting support in all of the rooms for the duration of the week.

To top it off, we all returned home to get right back into a swing of quite a few local shows. Be sure you’re following along on socials for more behind-the-scenes production details… and maybe a little crew fun here and there!
