Kicking off February in Orlando

That’s a wrap from Central Florida! In what may have been the coldest week of the year in the Sunshine State (ironic timing, indeed), 800 Florida tourism professionals recently gathered at the Hilton Orlando for Visit Florida’s annual Huddle and Encounter conference.

The multi-day event featured a General Session alongside a vibrant trade show and expo area, as our crew provided comprehensive AV production that transformed both spaces into immersive brand environments.

In the two expo ballrooms and the foyer in between them, we built three custom 4-sided, ground-supported jumbotrons that anchored the entire trade show floor. Each structure was outfitted with monitors on each side displaying countdown clocks for scheduled expo appointments. Positioned under the center truss structure, a live DJ set the tone throughout the expo area with a curated playlist and high energy announcements to mirror the countdown clock and keep vendors on time. We had a designated V1 to overlay the countdown clock on a graphics slide and operate it in real time using a DSan speaker timer.

In the GS, programming balanced industry insights with memorable entertainment; attendees were treated to a live guitarist/vocalist set during lunch and a special performance from award-winning mentalist Guy Bavli, who captivated the audience with mind-bending acts. His interactive show blurred the line between psychology and illusion, all while allowing attendees to be a part of the fun. His performance left everyone both entertained and astonished!

Our AV in the Orlando Ballroom was all ground supported, featuring two 9’ x 16’ rear projection screens on each side of the stage, audio with subs and front fills, stage wash and up-lighting for our blue drape line and two robotic PTZ cameras for IMAG shots. We also provided projection and audio packages for four breakout rooms, which required us to be flexible with set and strike times as there were other simultaneous events at the hotel happening on a staggered schedule.
