Five members of our staff recently traveled to Indianapolis for the RSN (Rental & Staging Network) Leadership Symposium held at the Crowne Plaza Union Station downtown. During the opening session of the conference, it was revealed that RSN has taken on a new name and look: EPN (Event Production Network)!
It was explained that the reason behind the update was to showcase how the collective capabilities and services of the companies within this network have expanded far beyond what they were originally. EPN is positioned as the “North American standard of AV excellence,” so they wanted the messaging to clearly imply full scale productions as opposed to just rentals and staging assistance.
The conference itself was an awesome experience, especially getting to experience it as attendees rather than crew! General sessions were highlighted by EPN leadership remarks, vendor presentations and a keynote from Derek Daly, former Indy 500 driver and ESPN/FOX Sports broadcaster.
There were four different tracks of breakout sessions: Executives, Emerging Leaders, Sales and Project Managers. There was great participation in the discussions during these sessions, and each group was able to leave with some key takeaways to bring back to their staffs.
Outside of the educational sessions, of course there was some fun to be had while in town! We were treated to an interactive tour of one of our AV partner’s local facility, as well as a private dinner at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Thank you to everyone at EPN for a truly memorable few days!
