Going hybrid in Vegas!

Dark room with video editors

The Media Stage crew recently wrapped a three-day show at The Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Remote participation was the main highlight of the run of show for this widely-attended medical conference.

Empty room with screens and tables

Our ballroom set-up included two 9’ x 16’ rear projection screens centered by a custom video-mapped image of the company’s logo. We dressed the room with pipe and drape, plenty of up-lighting and sufficient stage wash. Additionally, we installed a full audio complement that ensured clear sound both in the room and for the purpose of two-way communication with remote presenters.

We live streamed these virtual presenters onto the display sources and highlighted their video images so that attendees in the room could see them as well. With this hybrid element of the show, the in-person audience was even able to participate in a live Q&A session.

Event with video and sound system

The agenda for this show was jam packed, showcasing more than 30 presenters over three days. There were also numerous on-stage panel discussions to dive deeper into the content that was presented.

It was this group’s first in-person conference since 2019 so everyone was very excited to get back into the ballroom… and to witness the new reality of hybrid events. We produced this show in partnership with our wonderful colleagues at EGR International and, as always, are grateful to collaborate once again!
