GMJF Pacesetter Event spans five different sites

Outdoors event filled with people sitting at tables

It’s safe to say Greater Miami Jewish Federation’s Pacesetter Event was grander than ever in 2022! Last year we produced the event virtually, and prior to that, the event was typically held in a ballroom. This year, however, we produced AV at five different venues across Dade County! This means five different crews and five slightly different set-ups. Let’s dive in…

Elegance and ambiance were the aesthetics for what is the Federation’s primary fundraising event of the calendar year. We worked to produce essentially the same run of show at five different locations from Aventura all the way down to Coral Gables. Secondary vendors-provided tents at each of these locations, beautifully dressed in white centered by chandeliers and complementary string lights.

Inside these tents, our five different crews set up A/V based on the individual spacing and layouts of each. As far as display sources go, some tents utilized projection screens and some installed LED monitors around the stage area.

Event setup with tables, chairs and screens

We clamped our stage wash lighting fixtures to the structural poles of the tent to hit the stage. We set up a full sound system with speakers placed throughout the main dining area and also in the cocktail and reception areas (along with a full wireless mic kit).

Given that the tents were outside, the wind was an added element that we had to adjust for. We had installed pipe and drape with up-lighting for scenic purposes, so our crew had to use extra sandbags, tie lines, and clamps to keep everything safe and stationary.

The run of show consisted of pre-produced videos of the Federation’s incredible efforts of the last year and also featured a live interview with a former U.S. President. Hosts for the evening and Federation leadership also addressed the audience from on stage about upcoming community initiatives.

We are always honored to produce this event for our long-time partners at Federation. Endless thanks to Bonnie Reiter and her entire team for the tireless months of preparation along with our committed and dedicated crews!
