From Texas back to the Tropics
It has certainly been a busy October! We’ve had several corporate shows both on the road and at home here in South Florida. First up was a multi-day forum at The Thompson in Dallas, TX during which we debuted our brand-new LED totems! We used these in the foyer area outside the ballroom to display conference graphics, sponsor logos and more. We also set some in an additional event space – an airplane hangar! – in which we supported audio and video for a private dinner.
In the General Session we sourced custom pink carpet for the stage to highlight the client’s image and branding, and in addition to our two side projection screens we also hung a center screen to serve as a video backdrop. A white drape line completed the whole look, and we maneuvered it to act as a dress kit around the side screens to also make those look as if they were “floating.”
Our crew set AV for three breakout rooms and positioned multiple 86” HD monitors throughout the space to serve as supplementary display sources for important session information.
Then we were right back at home at Jungle Island in Miami, where we’ve already produced several shows this year, to support our longtime partners at Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce for their annual “Sand in my Shoes” gala.
Our white drape panels came straight off the previous show to dress this set as well, which was similarly designed with two side front projection screens at each end of Bloom Ballroom. Our audio and lighting was flown, so we worked with the in-house rigging team to get everything on the truss and up in the air in a timely fashion.
For IMAG and records, we enlisted two manned cameras positioned at the back of the room to get multiple shots of what was happening on stage as well as capturing some audience reactions from the house. We had a full set day prior to our show day that allowed for some scheduled rehearsal time in the afternoon before doors opened.
Thank you to our friends at the Chamber for once again bringing us on site for this esteemed program within our local community!
