BACK TO BACK CHAMPIONS!

The Florida Panthers’ reign continues with the winning of their second consecutive Stanley Cup! They lifted Lord Stanley on home ice after a dominating Game 6 win in the Final, and Media Stage was fortunate to be a part of the trophy presentation once again.

Our team built and programmed the LED video walls on the ice and did the lighting design in the tunnel from which the Cup was brought out. This made for some incredible camera shots on the national TNT broadcast.

We had a full set and tech check day prior to game day with a crew of eight technicians led by a project manager. The video team assembled one LED wall to display the Panthers’ logo animation in the tunnel and a second to be positioned on the ice with moving video content that read “2025 Stanley Cup Champions.”

We built these on rolling carts using our 2.6mm pixel pitch tiles and dressed the back in duvetyne to make it look polished since it was visible from all angles in the bowl of the arena.

For the tunnel, we positioned our new Astera Titan Tube fixtures all throughout, securing them in place using zip ties to affix them to the tunnel’s structure. The ambience was created with a solid white look as the Cup was brought out to the ice before NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman handed it off to team captain Aleksander Barkov.

This was our second year working directly with the NHL on the trophy presentation, and it was a truly memorable experience. On the team side, we also had our lighting complement of movers and haze going in the other tunnel for the players’ pregame entrance. This was a staple throughout all four rounds of the playoffs, so it was awesome to get to do it one more time for Game 6… the night they became back to back champions!
