A night to remember on South Beach
That’s a wrap on Greater Miami Jewish Federation’s “The Main Event” from Loews Miami Beach! It was a four-day production for our crew to build our full AV set-up in the Americana Ballroom for the highly anticipated gala – one of Federation’s most impactful events of the year.
We had a busy two days before show day to build the set, including rigging across 20 points to fly our speakers, projectors and lighting fixtures. The set was centered by a hi-res LED wall with two additional front projection screens on each side of the stage dressed by a clean line of white drape.
We hit the drape with brand new custom gobos to splash eye-catching light patterns and give even more ambience to fill the room. In addition to our center stage, there was also a satellite stage in use for portions of the show. Our lighting complement featured many movers and a robust stage wash and backlighting package.
We had IMAG shots from three manned cameras, and the GMJF content team produced several moving video looks that we were able to cross fade with our camera shots. There were multiple live performances throughout the night, including both the American and Israeli national anthems.
The 1,600 attendees were also treated to intimate performances from vocalists Noam Buskila and Yuval Raphael. Raphael is recognized for representing Israel in the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest and finishing as first runner-up. At one point, attendees were even invited onto the stage to dance and celebrate!
The program was rounded out by an esteemed panel discussion featuring Noa Tishby, Douglas Murray and Van Jones as they delved into the current state of affairs in Israel.
We are so grateful for the continued trust and partnership of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation; our team has been working with them for 35 years now!
